Roamin’ and Lomin’ on 6th Street, Austin, Texas. Lomography is an analogue movement that began when 2 Viennese students found a vintage Russian LOMO LC-A camera, vintage 1984. They shot creatively from the hip and after developing their film when they got home, they were floored by the hazy vignettes, multiple exposures and color quality of the photos. They convinced Russian manufacturers in 1992 to continue production of the camera- only the look has changed-. Today 38 lomography galleries and embassies all over the world sell LOMOS, host workshops, construct galleries of customer-submitted photos, and even provide a community for enthusiasts to gather, share and learn from one another.
